It was kind of funny. Forks, WA is supposed to be the wettest city in the US (or one of them, I suppose) and with one of the only rainforests in the country, you'd expect some rain... even just a little. However, this was the hottest, driest summer they'd seen in a very long time. It would have been amazing to see rain in the rainforest, but then again, I wouldn't be able to sit in the middle of it and knit, I suppose.
Originally, most of our patterns were Twilight inspired. In July, my family and I went on vacation up to Oregon and Washington. We figured it would be a fun side trip to go to Forks, WA and the Hoh Rainforest. Here are just a few pictures we took. The rainforest was just beautiful. I would have loved to just sit and knit amongst the beauty for hours.
